Scripture…Practical help for daily success

The Christian Daily Walk

The purpose of this ministry is to help equip you in your daily walk with the Lord. Please click on Daily Walk and start with Day 1 and work through all 31 days. Continue to work on these helps and others the Lord gives you until you go to be with Him.

Day 1 – Salvation and Total Commitment Once you become a Christian, God wants you to give Him each area of your life. He wants to be Savior and Lord. If He is not Lord of your all, He is not Lord at all.

Day 4 – Wisdom – How important is wisdom? Proverbs 4:7 says, “Wisdom is the principle thing, therefore get wisdom…”
Day 7 – A Faith That Holds – Faith is so important that God said in Hebrews 11:6a, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him…” Faith requires believing that God is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
Day 10 – The Daily Discipline Of Memorizing The Word – Not only do we need to read the Bible but also memorize it. Psalm 119:11 says, “Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.”
Day 13 – Developing The Discipline Of Fasting – Today, many Christians think that fasting is legalistic and no longer applicable. Yet, Jesus Himself fasted. He also instructs us to fast. Jesus did not say, “If you fast…” but “When you fast…”.
Day 16 – The Principle Of Authority – Perhaps the most important principle in Scripture is the principle of authority. God has established all who are in authority and designed authority for your wisdom, protection and direction.
Day 19 – Success – We all have a desire to be successful. But true success is found by knowing and doing the will of God.
Day 22 – Choosing A Good Name – To have a good name is a very valuable asset. Proverbs 22:1 sums up how important a good name is, “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches…”
Day 25 – Music – When you think about pornography, you usually associate it with an image. But pornography can be in words as well. Much of the popular music today is nothing more than immoral material in words. And when you put bad words to bad music that makes the influence it has even worse.
Day 28 – Stay Steady – As a teenager, I saw in my life how I could be up and down in my walk with the Lord.
Day 31 – Discipleship And Witnessing – God’s calls us to go into the world and make disciples. God did not say, “Go make friends” or “Go help with the economy”. Jesus said for you and me to go make disciples.
Day 2 – The Impossibility of the Christian Life – The Christian life is not difficult, it is impossible. You cannot expect to live it without Divine help
Day 5 – Genuine Love – We hear so much about love today, yet real love is rarely seen. Love is the ultimate expression of the Christian life.
Day 8 – The Daily Discipline Of Rising Early – So many of the great Christians I have read about arose early to spend time with the Lord. Even some in the world recognize the importance of this discipline.
Day 11 – The Daily Discipline Of Meditating On God’s Word – The promise of God in Scripture is that all we do will be successful if we meditate upon God’s word. This is promised in Psalm 1, Joshua 1:8 and many other passages.
Day 14 – Developing The Discipline Of Keeping The Lords Day – As with fasting, many people think that keeping the Lord’s Day is legalistic and Old Testament. While the Old Testament does give many promises and benefits of keeping the Lord’s Day, Jesus also observed it.
Day 17 – The Principle Of Responsibility – God holds you responsible for every word, deed, thought, action and motive. There more we understand this, the more you can live a godly, balanced life.
Day 20 – Freedom – Many today talk about being free but their lives reveal they are really in bondage. Freedom is not the right to do what we want, but the power to do what we ought.
Day 23 – Purity – There are many rewards for purity of heart. One that comes to mind is “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” This verse has a double meaning. Blessed are the pure in heart for one day they will see God.
Day 26 – Proper Priorities – The Bible instructs us in Ephesians 5:15 to be “Redeeming the time because the days are evil.”

Day 29 – Forgiveness – One of the fundamental principles of making it in the Christian life is forgiving others.
Day 3 – Sanctification And Character – Getting saved takes care of your eternity, but the rest of the time on earth, God wants you to be conformed to the image of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. This process is called sanctification. Developing character is a major part of this process.

Day 6 – Our Hope – The old familiar hymn, “On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand” has great opening line: “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness.”
Day 9 – Daily Discipline Of Reading The Bible – The Bible is God’s love letter to Christians. Yet, the Bible is one of the most owned, least read books in the world.
Day 12 – The Daily Discipline Of Prayer – Prayer is one of the most talked about, least practiced disciplines of the Christian life.
Day 15 – God’s Design – Your self esteem is not nearly as important as your self-acceptance. Esteem could go up and down according to your circumstances. However, proper self acceptance will give you a lasting peace with who you are.
Day 18 – The Principle Of Suffering – Suffering is just a part of life and especially the Christian life. We should not be shocked when it comes. I Peter 4:2 says, “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trials which are to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.”
Day 21 – God’s Ownership – God is your owner and Sovereign Ruler of all. Since you belong to Him, He wants your all. He wants you to trust Him with every area of your life. As you do this, you are really trusting the Sovereignty of god.
Day 24 – The Church – God has established and preserves His bride, the Church. Every believer worldwide makes up the church. This is the Body of Christ.
Day 27 – Serving – If you want to live like the Lord Jesus Christ you can demonstrate that by living a life of serving others.
Day 30 – Giving – Generous giving is a discipline Christ wants each Christian to have and is a mark of a genuine believer.
